Handmade at Saleigh Mountain Leathers in Hermann, MO, this gorgeous bag is one-of-a-kind and designed around the character of the specific leathers used. Artist Sally Borzillo has this to say about leatherworking: “I began doing small leather projects at the age of 13 and was fortunate to apprentice with a man whose grandfather had been a carriage maker in San Francisco. Forty years later I’m still hooked on this craft. I love leather as a medium, and nothing smells quite like a cobbler shop!” This piece features both smooth and pebbled leathers in a rich black color with gold-tone hardware and a removable crossbody strap.
